The Room 12 Learning Lightsabers!

Kia ora and welcome to the Room 12 Learning Lightsaber's class blog (you can tell we all love Star Wars!) but as Yoda says:

It has been a very busy start to the year.  We have spent the first few weeks getting to know each other and establishing rules and routines in our class and discussing what a learning class looks like, sounds like and feels like.  We have visited Te Tuhi Art Gallery and had an awesome art session there with Jeremy and we are also lucky enough to have a student teacher, Miss S from America, in our classroom from 8 weeks.  We are learning lots from her and she is learning lots from us.

We have created our class treaty together and formed a class korowai (cloak) with our class rules and school values on it.  Our rules and values were written on strips of card which were then interwoven to create our korowai.  We added some feathers with our names on it to the top of our korowai.  It looks amazing! We also agreed on a name for our learning class - The Room 12 Learning Lightsabers - May the Force be with Us in our learning!

We are all really excited about the year ahead and all the amazing learning and discovering we will be doing!
